What are you longing for?

Spiritual direction is a sacred space to tend to your inner life with a trained listener.

Peace, freedom, stillness, connection, healing — our longings offer a window into the state of our soul. Spiritual companionship is a time-honored opportunity to hold space for those desires and explore God’s invitations within them.

What to expect

In a Spiritual Direction Session

In our time together the focus rests on your experience with God. As a spiritual companion, my approach is one of gentleness and curiosity. Sessions are low-pressure, contemplative spaces to reflect, wonder, and ask questions. I listen attentively and ask questions. My goal is to prayerfully listen alongside of you to help you discern the voice of God, as you hear it.

Offered during each session:

  • A confidential, non-judgmental space to process, reflect, and heal.
  • A centering practice of the directee’s choice, with permission.
  • Room to reflect in silence or stillness in order to listen to the Spirit.
  • A trauma-informed approach that recognizes the severity of religious trauma.

Meet Your Listening Companion

Elizabeth Ross, MA in Religion, Certified Spiritual Director

Before finding a familiar pew in the Episcopal tradition of the Christian church, my faith took a few twists and turns. From a non-denominational, charismatic community, to investigating the Mormon church, Anglicanism, and Buddhism — spiritual curiosity has changed my life time and time again.

I have experience supporting folks healing from purity culture, fundamentalist religion, and domestic violence. I also enjoy companioning women studying in seminary, serving in ministry or missions work, as well as those in seasons of discernment, de/reconstruction, or mothering.
